This is a Tsukesage Houmongi kimono.
Compared to a standard Houmongi, Tsukesage Houmongi can be styled both formally and casually, making it a versatile choice.
This houmongi features a beautiful depiction of a snowy Japanese landscape on high-quality silk in a cool gray tone. The scene shows snow gently resting on auspicious motifs such as bamboo and pine trees, as well as on traditional Japanese houses — creating a composition that looks just like a painting.
It is an exceptional piece that you can confidently wear to any formal occasion.
The silk fabric is in very good condition and offers a luxurious texture. Upon close inspection, there are a few small stains, but they are not very noticeable. As this is a vintage item, there may be other minor flaws or signs of age, so if you are particular about details, please refrain from purchasing.
This kimono also pairs beautifully with modern fashion and can be worn as a long coat or cardigan. Of course, it is equally perfect for those who prefer to enjoy it in the classic kimono style.
Our original arrangement includes tucks at the waist, making it easier to wear traditionally. If you prefer, the tucks can be easily removed by cutting the threads, allowing you to wear it as a long coat or even as a dress.
