Vintage Color Haori - Red Shibori Butterfly -

A vivid red gradient fabric with bold shibori butterfly motifs dancing across it.
In Japanese culture, butterflies are a symbol of beauty and graceful growth, especially representing elegant women. They are also considered lucky motifs, associated with marital harmony and success in life.

From my observation, this piece was likely made around 50 years ago.
While there are some age-related stains on the lining, the outer fabric remains mostly free of visible marks.
The use of shibori (tie-dye) technique for the butterfly motif is extremely rare, making this haori a true collector’s item.
