Product of the popular Japanese brand "Gogatsu-do"
These are very valuable and rare Numata Kiryu geta.
Currently, production in Japan is rare and hard to find.
The two teeth are not glued together, but cut from a single piece of wood.
They are also very comfortable to wear, and the naso is made of a special fabric.
They have a unique presence not only for wearing, but also as works of art or interior decoration.
※Numata Kiryu geta is a regional brand of Gunma Prefecture.
Numata produced many geta craftsmen before and after World War II as a production area of high-quality wood.
Katsumi Maruyama, 83, a local traditional craftsman with 68 years of experience as a geta craftsman, is one of the few Numata Kiryu geta craftsmen still active in the industry.
