The Dragon (Ryu) is a traditional Japanese auspicious motif symbolising success, great advancement, strength, and dignity.
Its powerful image of rising and soaring has long been associated with overcoming challenges and achieving success in life.
The Kabuto (samurai helmet) is a traditional Japanese auspicious motif symbolising protection from misfortune, success, and achievement.
As armour that protected a warrior’s head, the kabuto came to represent protection and strength, as well as the wish to rise in life and achieve great things.
The kabuto (samurai helmet) decorated with a dragon is a powerful motif traditionally associated with strength, protection, and success, giving this haori a particularly meaningful character as a men’s piece.
Of course, it can be enjoyed unisex, regardless of gender.
There are some areas of fraying due to age, but the haori is lightweight and comfortable to wear, with an appealing slightly rough, textured feel.
