Vintage Color Haori - Dark Red Flower and leaf -

This haori features the ever-popular shibori design.

Although it is red, the deep and calm tone gives it a mature look that is not too flashy.

The flowers and leaves are depicted vividly, full of life. Shibori is one of the traditional Japanese dyeing techniques.

Each tiny section of the fabric is carefully tied with thread before dyeing, and when the threads are removed, the contrast between the dyed and undyed white areas creates a beautifully three-dimensional effect.

The texture is soft to the touch, and shibori has many passionate fans. Today, however, the number of artisans who carry on this traditional technique has dramatically decreased, making shibori kimono extremely rare and valuable items.
