Set against a clear and brilliant white base, the design is rendered primarily in bold red, creating a powerful and celebratory impression.

The motifs — chrysanthemums, diamond shapes, and bamboo — are depicted in a highly realistic style. Each of these carries auspicious meaning in Japanese culture.

The chrysanthemum, in particular, has long been regarded as an imperial flower, symbolizing nobility and dignity. What makes this furisode especially captivating is not only the surface design, but also the woven chrysanthemum pattern subtly integrated into the white silk base itself.

Furthermore, the piece showcases an impressive array of craftsmanship: hitta shibori diamond motifs, and touches of gold applied through kinsai techniques. It is truly a celebration of traditional artisan skill — exceptionally unique and visually commanding.

As with many white garments, stains and signs of age are unfortunately more visible. There are minor damages and small marks on the outer fabric.
