The Meaning of the Origami Crane
The origami crane (orizuru) is an auspicious Japanese motif symbolizing longevity and peace.
It also carries wishes for children to grow up healthy and for a happy and bright future.
This piece features a very rare and unusual design.
The outer fabric is firm and structured, with a beautiful crisp texture. The origami cranes are created with embroidery and woven details, giving the design depth and texture.
In complete contrast, the lining reveals a vivid pink floral pattern, creating a beautiful and unexpected change of atmosphere.
We believe this piece was made nearly 80 years ago. Due to its age, there are some stains and areas of fading. However, considering its age, I believe it remains in very good condition.
